Research reviewed: 8 November 2026
For tourism with an ordinary passport. This guide summarises published entry rules; it does not issue visas or decide admission.
Understand the four entry routes
Visa-free entry
An exemption removes the tourist visa application, while passport and border checks still apply. Most listed exemptions allow a short stay of up to 90 days, but some have shorter limits. Kazakhstan has a 30-day allowance within six months; Maldives and Hong Kong SAR have 30-day limits, and the Dominican Republic has a 60-day limit in the cited reference. Albania’s 2026 notice confirms short-stay exemption without specifying a number of days.
Morocco e-Visa: eligibility and application
The published nationality route covers Benin, Brunei, Cambodia, Guatemala, India, Israel, Jordan, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. A qualifying residence permit or third-country visa can provide another route. The e-Visa is for tourism or business, normally permits one entry and a stay of up to 30 days, and may be used within a maximum validity of 180 days. A visa valid for 180 days does not authorise a 180-day stay.
How to apply for an e-Visa
- Check eligibility on Accès Maroc and choose the correct travel purpose.
- Enter your details exactly as printed on your passport.
- Upload a recent colour photograph, the passport identity page and any required supporting permit or visa.
- Review all details, pay the displayed official fee and keep the application reference.
- Track the application, supply any requested documents and download the issued visa.
The official user guide illustrates Standard at MAD 770 (around three Moroccan working days) and Express at MAD 1,100 (around one working day). Additional checks can take longer. These are published guide figures, not a live price quote; the payment screen sets the fee. Paid applications are non-refundable under the published conditions.
AEVM travel authorisation
The research identifies Ecuador, Ghana, Guinea and the Republic of the Congo (Brazzaville) under the travel-authorisation route. Do not confuse the Republic of the Congo with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mali’s government announced removal of its AEVM requirement from 27 April 2026. Ghana’s official circular confirms a free authorisation and an exemption from age 55; that age rule is not extended here to other nationalities without equivalent evidence.
Applying through a Moroccan consulate
Apply through the Moroccan embassy or consulate responsible for your place of residence if the online route is unavailable. A typical tourist file includes an application form, passport and copies, recent photographs, evidence of residence, financial means and accommodation or an invitation. Employment evidence, travel insurance and return travel may be requested. The responsible mission’s checklist determines the documents, fee and appointment process.
Passport and arrival documents
Carry the passport used for the application, your issued e-Visa or AEVM where required, accommodation details and return or onward travel evidence. For an e-Visa obtained using another visa or residence permit, carry that supporting document too. The e-Visa conditions also describe financial-means and hospitalisation/repatriation insurance checks. Passport validity requirements vary by route and nationality; the 90-day application condition for e-Visa is not a universal passport-entry rule.
How this guide is maintained
The country register combines official exemption references with later country-specific decisions. Source publication dates and effective dates are different from our research review date. Some official documents are undated or older than subsequent agreements. The tool shows the evidence behind each route and does not claim a live government eligibility decision. Your search stays in your browser; this tool does not ask for passport numbers or upload documents.

Frequently asked questions
Is AEVM the same as an e-Visa?
No. AEVM is a pre-travel authorisation attached to an exemption; an e-Visa is a visa. They use the same official Accès Maroc portal.
Does an EU residence permit mean visa-free entry?
No. A qualifying residence permit may support a conditional e-Visa application. It does not replace the Moroccan visa.
Can children use an e-Visa?
The published conditions say an e-Visa holder under 18 may enter only with a parent or legal representative. Each child’s required documents must be included in the application.
Can I extend my stay?
An extension requires authorisation from the competent Moroccan authorities. Apply before your permitted stay ends; an extension is not automatic.
Does a booking with Marrakech First include a visa?
This information page does not provide a visa-issuance service. Use the official application route shown in your result.
